The Bands
The Selwyn Birchwood Band hails from Tampa, Florida. Selwyn Birchwood is an amazing Blues Guitar player who won the International Blues Challenge and the Albert King Guitarist of the Year award in 2013. In 2015, Birchwood won a Blues Music Award in the "Best New Artist Album" category for Don't Call No Ambulance. You can see videos of some of his songs here - https://www.selwynbirchwood.com/video
This year we'll also feature Kyle Rowland, a blues harmonica player out of Sacramento. Kyle was inducted into the Sacramento Blues Hall of Fame last year and was also a semifinalist last year for the International Blues Challange. Kyle will be backed by his four-man band, Rowland & Tumblin''. Here is a link to some of their music - https://www.kylerowlandblues.com/music
And back by popular demand, we have the Trey Tosh Band ! The Trey Tosh Band has played festivals big name events such as the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally and was invited to play at the Stevie Ray Vaughan Ride and Concert. Trey played with the Trans-Siberian Orchestra at the Savemart Center in Fresno. Check 'em out.
Food
You are welcome to bring your own food, ice chests, etc., but please, no glass containers. Vendors will be on hand to provide a wide variety of delicious Blues Food for sale throughout the day right at the concert, and plenty of snacks and lots of different hot and cold drinks will be available. There are stationary picnic tables seating about 150 people, or you can eat in your chair or on your blanket. No cooking.
Seating
The facilities include a 4,000-square-foot covered pavilion with a stage. Concert-style seating is available in this area, and there will be room next to the stage for dancing. The pavilion opens up to a 9,000-square-foot lawn with shade trees. The lawn area works well for beach chairs, blankets, playpens, etc.
Other Information
No video or any other type of recording devices. ABSOLUTELY NO PETS, except for service animals. No drugs (including alcohol), paraphernalia, or glass containers. No squirt guns. Cameras will be permitted but please be respectful of members’ anonymity. Merchandise will be available on the day of the event.
